The following page is dedicated to Pie Corbett educationalist and author and the inspiration behind many writing activities which take place in lots of schools around the country. Children at our host school Grove Road were able to produce some excellent work based on some of his wonderful poems.
Pie kindly responded to questions written by children at the school about his life as an author.
The children were then inspired to write some poems in the style of Pie Corbett based on his poem Animal Riddle. Using the poetry section in the Examples of work section and another Pie Corbett poem If I had wings the children were able to produce further pieces of excellent poetry.
